NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED LOCAL LAW
TO SUPERSEDE THE DOCTRINE OF INCOMPATIBILITY WITH RESPECT TO THE SEWER AND WATER CLERK POSITION AND TOWN COUNCILPERSON
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Warrensburg Town Board will hold a Public Hearing on December 28, 2022, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Warrensburg Town Hall, 3797 Main Street, Warrensburg, New York, concerning proposed Local Law No. 2 of 2022. The proposed Local Law would supersede the Doctrine of Incompatibility with respect to the Sewer and Water Clerk Position and Town Councilperson and allow the same person to serve in both capacities simultaneously. New York Municipal Home Rule Law §10 [1] [a] [1] grants local governments the authority to enact local laws regarding the qualifications of local officers.
Copies of the proposed Local Law are on file in the Town Clerk's Office at 3797 Main Street, Warrensburg, New York, and may be reviewed during normal business hours and are also available on the Town’s website at https://warrensburgny.us.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that all interested parties will be heard at this time and place.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE if this Local Law is adopted by the Warrensburg Town Board after this Public Hearing such Local Law shall take effect upon filing with the Secretary of State.
