NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED LOCAL LAW
PROVIDING REAL PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTIONS FROM TOWN TAXES
FOR VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS AND VOLUNTEER AMBULANCE WORKERS PURSUANT TO SECTION 466-A OF THE REAL PROPERTY TAX LAW
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Warrensburg Town Board will hold a Public Hearing on March 8, 2023 beginning at 7 p.m. at 3797 Main Street, Warrensburg, NY 12885, concerning proposed Local Law No.1 of 2023. The proposed Local Law would provide a tax exemption from Town taxes of 10% of the assessed value of property to qualifying volunteer firefighters and volunteer ambulance workers. New York Real Property Tax Law §466-a grants local governments the authority to enact such Local Laws after holding a Public Hearing.
Copies of the proposed Local Law are on file in the Town Clerk's Office at 3797 Main Street, Warrensburg, NY 12885, and may be reviewed during normal business hours and are also available on the Town’s website at https://warrensburgny.us/
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that all interested parties will be heard at this time and place.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE if this Local Law is adopted by the Warrensburg Town Board after this Public Hearing such Local Law shall take effect upon filing with the Secretary of State.
